tim's outdoor toys

On Sunday afternoon, twixt meetings, Glen and I went to Hamleys to purchase some outdoor toys.

We bought a nice fluorescent orange Frisbee ring type thing, which flies absolutely miles when you really chuck it. We discovered this by letting a small child in Cavendish Square throw it, It ended up in a hedge on the other side of the park and narrowly missed the sleeping homeless man who would have, no doubt, shouted if we had woken him.

It also flies miles in Green Park, with a tendency towards heading for deaf-blind men. Don't even begin to ask how we found that out.

We also bought a boomerang called "Outdoor Magic" to go with the "Backyard Magic" I bought the other week. We had slight issues getting it to come back but found it delightfully easy to take big chunks out of the blades by landing it on concrete.

All I am waiting for now is my kite, hopefully arriving tomorrow.
