On Sunday evening, after the Army and after the pub, Dave and I decided to make the most of the lovely Sunday sun and chill out on the quad at the College. We got my frisbee out and had a few throws, but they kept hitting the sides of the houses so we gave up in favour of the famed yellow boomerang.
After a few throws, we hit a slight snag. The boomerang got stuck in the tree on the quad.
The boomerang was unreachable so we decided to use a football to try and dislodge it
After a few tries, we arrived at another slight issue. The football got stuck.
The blur in that photo is because I couldn't stop laughing.
Dave then had an idea. He would go and see his uncle Gordon too see if he had a ladder. He did.
He also had a broom which Dave tried to dislodge the ball and boomerang with. Note the blurring once again - it is really hard to take photos through tears.
It got the football down, but not the boomerang. So we called in India 99, the Met Police's helicopter.
Not really, but it did come close.
Finally, with the help of Private Pipe, rushing to our 609 situation, the boomerang was dislodged and fell to the ground. We rejoiced greatly.
This isn't Private Jon Pipe but is indicative of a soldier
