Since my folks moved to Ireland, I have become quite intrigued by the Troubles that have plagued the North of the country for a number of decades. As a result of this I have taken a few photos of political murals and historical sights in Ulster.
Particularly interesting is Divis Tower, linked below.

The tower is a block of flats that lies on the peace line between the Shankhill Road and the Falls Road (Bóthar na bhFál), which was used by the British Army as a lookout post.
The BBC News website reports about the dismantling of the lookout post, as does the Sinn Féin website.

Tim, don't believe everything you read on the internet. Divis flats was the place from which an IRA "freedom fighter" fired down the road I was playing in with friends, around the age of 12. No police, no army, just half a dozen kids playing football in the street, and until the area was redeveloped, I could have shown the bullet holes to prove it.

That is why the history of the Troubles is such a fascinating subject. The fact that one building can offer so many different stories from both sides of the conflict is part of the appeal of studying the topic.
I am reasonably confident that a Republican could share equally terrible accounts of the goings on in the area throughout the past 40 years.
As with all collated knowledge, this encyclopedic information displays some bias and more thorough research can help form a balanced opinion.
It took me a long time to search on the web, only your site explain the fully details, bookmarked and thanks again.
